Speakeasy was founded in 1997 in San Francisco’s Bayview District. The founders were bonded by the hobby of home brewing, the passion for great beer, and the desire to rebuild part of San Francisco’s great brewing tradition. Speakeasy is committed to handcrafting ales & lagers in small (15bbl.) batches and to providing quality beers in the spirit of the many San Francisco breweries that did not survive Prohibition.
